Anid-Chile Cambridge Scholarship

Anid-Chile Cambridge Scholarship is available to Masters and PhD applicants from Chile in any subject.  It is tenable at any College. Offered in partnership with ANID Chile.

ANID is the National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research in Chile. It was previously known as CONICYT and was established in 1967 to advise the President of Chile on scientific matters. Over time, its responsibilities expanded to include providing scholarships across all subjects, funding research and development projects, and organizing scientific information.

Currently, ANID focuses on training advanced human resources, developing and strengthening Chile’s scientific and technological capabilities, promoting regional development, and fostering international collaboration.

For several years, ANID has offered a wide range of scholarships to Chilean students to study abroad through the BECAS Chile program. Since 2013, it has collaborated with the Cambridge Trust to offer the CONICYT-Chile Cambridge Scholarship, now known as the ANID-Chile Cambridge Scholarship, which is available to PhD applicants.

Application Process

Candidates are selected by ANID 

To ensure that they are considered for this scholarship, applicants must follow both of the following steps:

  1. check with ANID the funding call deadlines and details of the application process, and apply accordingly; AND
  2. apply for admission to the University of Cambridge by the funding deadline specific to their course (please refer to the Postgraduate Course Directory).
