Indonesian Government Scholarships 2024 2025 are fully funded scholarships for international students. Indonesian Government Scholarships are available for undergraduate, master’s or PhD studies. These scholarships provide a settlement allowance of IDR 1,250,000, a monthly living allowance of IDR 2,550,000 and monthly health insurance of IDR 200,000.

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia offers the Darmasiswa Scholarship annually. This non-degree scholarship program is open to foreign students from countries with diplomatic ties to Indonesia. It focuses on studying Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian Language), art, and culture. Participants can choose from 59 selected universities across different cities in Indonesia. The program is a collaboration between the Ministry of Education and Culture (MoEC) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). A total of 650 scholarships will be awarded.

Scholarship Benefits:

The Indonesian Government Scholarships offer the following benefits to recipients:

  1. A Settlement Allowance of IDR 1,250,000 is provided to new students upon their arrival in Indonesia.
  2. While undergoing the Indonesian language course and preparatory programs, new students receive a Living Allowance of IDR 2,550,000 per month.
  3. During the Master’s Program, students receive a monthly allowance structured as follows:
    • Living Allowance: IDR 2,550,000
    • Research Allowance: IDR 400,000
    • Books Allowance: IDR 350,000
  4. Health insurance is included with a maximum monthly premium of IDR 200,000. If the cost of medical services exceeds what is covered by the health insurance, the difference is to be borne by the student.
  5. A round-trip international airfare (economy class) is provided from the international airport of the student’s home country to Indonesia. This also includes local transport to the host university.

Eligibility Requirements for Indonesian Government Scholarships:

To be eligible for the Indonesian Government Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Common Requirements:

  • Language Proficiency: English proficiency test scores are required.
    • Undergraduate: IBT TOEFL 80, IELTS 6.0, TOEIC 700.
    • Masters: IBT TOEFL 80, IELTS 6.0, TOEIC 700 (within the last 2 years).
    • Doctorate: TOEFL 90 IBT, IELTS 7.0, or equivalent (within the last 2 years).
  • Eligible Countries: All countries worldwide.

Undergraduate:

  • Age Limit: Maximum 25 years old.
  • Education: High School degree.
  • Recommendation Letters: Needed from the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate General, employer/supervisor, and academic institutions.
  • Proof of Citizenship: Official Passport or Personal ID.
  • Online Application: Complete the online application form.

Masters:

  • Age Limit: Maximum 35 years old.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Recommendation Letters: Needed from the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate General, employer/supervisor, and academic institutions.

Required Documents:

To complete the Indonesian Government Scholarship application, you need to provide the following documents:

  1. Recommendation Letter: Obtained from the Indonesian Embassy in your respective country.
